In July 2022, Global Citizens Initiative (GCI) will mark its eighth year of programming for secondary students with the GCI Fellowship 2022, starting with the Summit at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. GCI looks forward to engaging with a new group of young global citizens as they develop the skills to launch a service project in their own community and begin their journey as lifelong agents of positive change!

Through GCI, our Ambassadors’ service projects have promoted:

• affordable menstrual products to school-age girls in Kenya

• showers for the homeless in Los Angeles

• startup-capital and training for young people starting their own small businesses in Nigeria

• solar power for veterans in New England

• art workshops to empower students with special physical needs in Jordan

• increased awareness of LGBTQ issues in Hong Kong
