GCI LEAD Challenge: Application is open! (Deadline: April 5, 2021)

GCI is thrilled to announce that the application for our new virtual summer program, the GCI LEAD Challenge (July 26 to July 31, 2021), is now open!
Who Should Apply?
Secondary school students (current freshmen, sophomores or juniors at the time of application who will be 16-19 years old by July 26, 2021) who are
committed to developing their leadership, ethics and advocacy skills
passionate about making a positive difference in their local and global community
eager to participate in group discussions about global issues
excited to build a lifelong community with peers all over the world
Participants will need access to a computer and an internet connection that will support Zoom. The tuition is US$950, and a limited amount of financial aid is available.
The application deadline is Monday, April 12 at 11:59pm ET. Spaces are limited, and we encourage applicants to get started on their application as soon as possible.
Some application materials must be submitted by others on each applicant’s behalf:
Parent/Guardian will need to submit the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Information Form.
If applying for financial aid, Parent/Guardian must also complete the Financial Aid Form and submit related documents.
One person who can speak to applicant’s strengths, character and fit with GCI will need to complete the Recommendation Form.
Applicants may also want to prepare or collect these documents as soon as possible:
1-minute Video/Multimedia Presentation answering the prompt in the application
School Reports (Current Grades for 2020-2021 and Final Grades for 2019-2020)
A government or school Photo ID with name and date of birth
TOEFL iBT or other accredited English Language Exam scores, if English is not applicant’s first language or school’s language of instruction
After the application closes on April 12 at 11:59pm ET, GCI will review all submitted applications and send admissions decisions on April 23, 2021.
