Diane, a 2018 GCI Fellow, shares how the skills she gained—especially in Design Thinking—continue to shape her academic work and professional projects today.

Diane says, “The Fellowship [...] allowed me to feel a lot more capable in addressing big problems and issues. Being able to break things down to the core of their issue and trying to solve them from there is really a skill that you need, not just in addressing social challenges, but also career challenges and personal challenges. That has been a skill—the Design Thinking—that I’ve been able to use in many different aspects of my life.”

Hear what she’s been up to since her time as a Fellow and all that she’s looking forward to pursuing next!
