A Wonderful Evening With the GCI Community at the Alumni Celebratory Gala
Updated: 19 hours ago
On October 9, 2026, the Global Citizens Initiative (GCI) community gathered in New York City for the GCI Alumni Celebratory Gala. It was such a joy to look around the room and see so many familiar faces from different chapters of GCI’s history, along with so many friends and supporters who have been part of this journey.
We were so moved to see our Alumni together again. Nearly half of the room was filled with GCI Alumni, representing many different years of the Fellowship. We were beyond proud seeing them reconnect, hearing their stories, and learning about the many different paths they have taken since their time with GCI.
To everyone who traveled to be with us, participated in the program, and helped make the evening so special, thank you.
We are happy to share the photographs from the evening, taken by Nainoa Moore. The gallery will remain available until April 1, 2027. Please download any photographs you would like to keep before then.
The incredible speakers we heard throughout the evening reminded us why GCI was founded and why this work continues to be so important. For more than a decade, we have worked to give young people from around the world the opportunity to learn from one another, understand perspectives different from their own, and develop the confidence and skills to make a positive difference in their communities.
None of this would have been possible without the people who have believed in GCI and supported our work along the way.
If the evening inspired you, we hope you will consider making a contribution to GCI. Your support will help us continue to provide these opportunities to young people, including those who would not otherwise have the financial means to participate.
You may also make a contribution by check or wire transfer. Please send an email to cloy@globalci.org, and our team will be happy to assist you.
Thank you again for being with us and for your continued support and faith in GCI. It meant a great deal to have so many members of our community together again.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Yumi and the GCI Team
