Dear GCI Fellows, Alumni, and TAs,
As I reflect on 15 years of GCI, my heart is full - and it starts with you. From day one, Fellows have been the center and soul of this community and endeavor. What began as a small idea grew into something powerful because of your curiosity, courage, and commitment to lead with your heart.
GCI was built on a simple belief: when young people are empowered, they change the world. Watching you grow into thoughtful, ethical, globally minded leaders has been the greatest joy of this journey. You are GCI’s living legacy.
I’m excited to share that GCI’s next chapter will be carried forward by our mission-aligned partner, Bald Mountain Meadow (BMM), led by a long-time Exeter educator, Jason BreMiller. While I move into my next chapter, I will remain closely connected as an advisor and supporter, cheering on the next generation of GCI Fellows and Ambassadors!
To celebrate this milestone and your many contributions to the GCI community as Fellows, Ambassadors, TAs, and more, we’ll gather for a Celebratory Gala on Friday, October 9, at the Harvard Club in New York City. I would love to see you there as we honor our journey and the impact we’ve made together, with over 360 alumni. Registration is HERE. Please save a spot.
Please keep carrying GCI’s values forward and amplifying the mission. The world needs your leadership - now more than ever.
With immense pride, excitement, and gratitude,
Yumi
