Every day we were impressed by the thoughtful questions and fascinating discussions that took place in both programs. The Fellows and Educators saw Tokyo from up high (thanks to dinners hosted at technology giant Google and Japanese newspaper publisher Yomiuri Shimbun) and reached amazing heights of their own as they participated in activities that broke down barriers, built up trust and encouraged Discussion-Based Learning and Design Thinking.

Together, we explored our cultural diversity and unique understanding of the world to open our eyes to new perspectives and ideas. While we were sad to see everyone go, we know that the conversations started at the Summit and Seminar are far from over and we are all looking forward to the next GCI Reunion!

Now that the 28 Fellows have returned to their homes and schools around the world, they will continue to work on their Glocal Service Projects and the 12 Educators will have new skills and learnings to apply to their classrooms. Each of the Fellows and Educators is or will soon be a true global citizen and we cannot wait to see what they will do next!

Thank you to all who participated, sponsored, donated, endorsed and worked on the Summit and Seminar 2019 in Tokyo, Japan. These programs could not have happened without your amazing support! #EngageEducateEmpower
