Privacy and Security

At Global Citizens Initiative, Inc. (GCI), your privacy is very important to us. Below is our Website Privacy Policy, which explains Global Citizens Initiative practices pertaining to the collection of information on our public website. These policies are effective as of September 22, 2016. Global Citizens Initiative may, in its discretion, amend this Privacy Policy from time to time.

What Information We Collect

Global Citizens Initiative uses your personally-identifiable information to fulfill your requests for information. This information may include your first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, alternate contact information, and other information you choose to submit to Global Citizens Initiative. We may keep any of your personally-identifiable information on file and use it to contact you.

Please note that this policy covers only the information you submit to Global Citizens Initiative online. Information you submit to Global Citizens Initiative in other ways is not necessarily covered by this policy.

We may also collect information from third-party providers to improve the accuracy of our member database or increase our understanding of our members. For example, we may contract with services such as the National Change of Address Service, licensed by the U.S. Postal Service, to assist us in having correct addresses for our members.

Our website uses “cookies” technology, through which small amounts of data are sent to your computer from our web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. This data anonymously identifies you as a unique user when visiting our website, and helps us in the ongoing maintenance of our website. These pockets of information allow us to know if you visit the same website twice or you visit related websites. This technology does not provide us with any information about your name, address phone number or email address, or any other personally identifiable information.
