JOIN STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD IN SCOTLAND

LEARN HOW TO ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR COMMUNITY

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

​

✓current freshmen/9th, sophomores/10th or juniors/11th in secondary school at the time of application

  • Admissions preference may be given to applicants in 9th and 10th grades to more fully support their project development


✓committed to the full 10-month Fellowship, including attending the Summit in Scotland (July 24 - August 1, 2023) in its entirety


✓  advanced proficiency in English to fully participate in the program

  • If English is not the applicant’s first language or primary language of school, applicants must submit TOEFL iBT scores over 95 or equivalent

PROGRAM DETAILS​

​

DATES: Monday, July 24 - Tuesday, August 1, 2023, followed by continued work on a service project tackling a global issue in your local community through to the end of April 2024

  • Arrival: July 24

  • Departure: August 1


LOCATION: Summit at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and half-day excursions around the East Coast of Scotland


COST: US$5,900 includes Fellowship tuition, Summit room and board, all Summit transportation and pick up and drop off at the Edinburgh airport (EDI) or train station.
**Round-trip travel to Scotland is not included.

**A limited amount of financial aid is available.

APPLICATION COMPONENTS​

  • Online application (applicant and parent information)

  • 4 essays

  • One-minute introductory video

  • Teacher recommendation

  • Second recommendation from a teacher, head of school, current or former employer/supervisor, extracurricular instructor or other

  • Mid-year school report for the current school year

  • End of year report for the previous school year

  • A government or school photo ID with applicant's name and date of birth

  • English language test scores, if first language or secondary school's language of instruction is not English

  • Financial aid form and supporting documents, if applicable

  • Application fee US$30
