DIVE INTO THE SUMMIT

Around the world, GCI Fellows are launching "Glocal" Service Projects (GSPs) to address global challenges at local levels in their communities.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Candidates must be...

  • Currently in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade (freshman, sophomore, or junior at the time of application).​​​

  • Committed to attending the Summit and participating in the Fellowship in its entirety.

  • Proficient in English to the advanced level needed to participate fully in the program.*

​

*If English is not the applicant's first language or primary language of school, applicants must submit TOEFL iBT scores over 95 or equivalent.

2026 PROGRAM DETAILS

Fellows will kick off the GCI Fellowship with a 9-day Summit in Scotland. Following the Summit, they will return home and remain engaged with the Fellowship through a yearlong virtual program that leads them through the process of implementing a service project in their communities.

SUMMIT DATES

Sunday, July 19 - Monday, July 27, 2026

The July Summit is followed by continued work on a service project tackling a global issue in your local community through the end of June 2027.

 

Participants are also expected to join virtual orientation sessions prior to the in-person Summit.

SUMMIT LOCATION

University of St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland

The Summit also includes half-day excursions around the East Coast of Scotland.

COST

USD $6,000

This includes Fellowship tuition, Summit room and board, all Summit transportation, and pick up and drop off at the Edinburgh airport (EDI) or train station.

*Round-trip travel to Scotland is not included.​

*A limited amount of financial support is available to qualifying applicants.
