Encouraging Literacy Via Reading for Pleasure, by Anwar ’16

According to Arab Thought Foundation’s Fikr’s fourth annual cultural development report, Arabs read an average of six minutes a year. This shocking statistic encouraged then Scholar and now Ambassador Anwar ’16 to focus her Glocal Service Project on the following question: “How might we inspire children to love reading for pleasure and thus lead their own learning experiences?”


Learn how Anwar is promoting reading for pleasure in her native Jordan through her organization “Reading to Flourish.”
