Announcing the “Champion a Champion” Campaign

We are proud to announce our new partnership with Matsui 55 Baseball Foundation to launch the “Champion a Champion” campaign and empower youth all over the world to identify and follow their passion.

To mark the beginning of our collaboration, we hosted a joint breakfast celebration at the Field Club in Greenwich with over 30 attendees.

Ms. Yumi Kuwana, Founder and President of GCI, welcomed guests with an introduction to GCI and the campaign. GCI Ambassador David S. ’15 followed with a moving speech about his experience in the Global Citizens Youth Summit, ending by introducing the keynote speaker: Mr. Hideki Matsui, Founder and President of Matsui 55 Baseball Foundation and New York Yankees legend. Mr. Matsui shared his story of hard work and ensuing success, and how his trajectory shaped his definition of what it means to be a champion.
